1803 NYC

Huntyyyy I never thought I would find bomb New Orleans food in NYC! Alot of places say they can copy the art of that cuisine and a lot are usually lying but not 1803!!!

I went for a late bday lunch with my team at work and was not disappointed as I have been waiting to try out this restaurant. 

We had the charbroiled oysters, SO GOOD! As well as the jambalaya which was gone within seconds. I had the catfish sandwich was so tasty and I forget the cocktail I had but I will say I had a buzz in my next meeting lol. I highly recommend and I will actually be returning in two weeks!

Chanson Le Salon

Tried this new restaurant which is the baby of Thyme bar and Chanson bakery and I really liked it! Such a cute vibe with the decor I felt boujie and cute and had many moments to get a good photo and tiktok content. 

For the food we had the crudo which was very refreshing, oysters and the duck. All approved by me yas and yas! However the drinks were kinda a let down, I had the one with the cotton candy and I forget the other tequila one I had. But the cotton candy one was quite bitter and the other was not really eye-catching and was eh. Also not boozy, I would suggest to def come but do wine with your meal. Also great service

Dante Seaport

I went to Dante to celebrate my co-workers bday and when I tell you I was blown away!! The ambiance and look of the place is top-notch, instagramable af!  
 
 My co-worker listed on our ressie it was for a bday and they brought us all out mini bday cocktails, for FREE! I loved how attentive the staff was and the drinks were so good and the food was tasty!  
 
 I would highly recommend this spot for bday dinners, nice dates and just a vibe to go to at least once!! 
 
 ps. also their bathrooms have no contact doors, you just wave and they open #techy

Macao Trading Company

Went to Macao for a girls date with one of my friends and I loved the whole vibe and decor, very mood vibes, very New York. We went right when they opened around 5pm so it wasn't too busy, we had a res but wouldn't say you needed one at that time (but it definitely got busy around 7). 

We got mocktails #dryjanuary and my friend liked hers and I liked mine (Dragons Milk) sweet milky yummy, butttt me being lactose intolerant it definitely hurt me later. 

Anywho for dinner we had a bunch of tapas items:

-Ribs (Nice portions, I didn't like them but my friend did)
- Fried Rice (Amazing)
- Shisto Peppers (Bomb)
- Kale salad (Refreshing and tasty)
- Shrimp Dumplings (Dense, both did not like them) 
- Croquettes  (So good, best thing I had all night)

All in all cute vibe, good food, would suggest for others to go!

NOMO Kitchen

The food was great, a good spot for brunch. The drinks were like juice, but cute juice lol

Gilligan's

So I stumbled on Gilligan's little oasis and absolutely fell in love with it! It truly feels like a jungle/tropical oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle! 

I went with my dad during his visit to NY and it was a cute place to relax and grab a drink. We sat at the bar, got two drinks and some oysters which were quite tasty. 

The drinks weren't too boozy in my opinion but I am a OG when it comes to cocktails but my dad who doesn't drink much had a buzz lol.

I would def say it is a cute spot to grab a drink, pregame in a boujie way with your girls or just to take a break from the concrete jungle! 

Sola Pasta Bar

Hunty in love with this!! We did a chefs table spot and I felt like a boujie fly girl the whole time!

First I love that the menu is photos of all of the options from drinks to the food, so you can visualize your meal! 

We had the El Nino (2) and the Prosecco and loved both, but the cocktail wasn't that boozy so would suggest the wine or prosecco if you want a buzz. (That's how I feel about most cocktails in NY lol) 

The meals: 

-Fig salad - gorgeous and the prosciutto is to die for but I thought the would be burrata but it was more of a yogurt so not my vibe. 

- Tagliatella Al Tartufo Nero - Which is a truffle white pasta and loved it hunty it was savory and rich, a yas!

-24K Gold Spaghetti - Was living my fly girl vibes that night lol but this was my favorite thing we had that night! So good, if you like squid ink pasta, this is a must!

The Flower Shop

Went for happy hour to meet up with a new bumble bff and her gf. I had one of the cocktails and it was way too bitter but hunty the oysters for happy hour were bomb and the wine got me there!

A nice cute chill vibe, didn't have a reservation so hung out downstairs and was able to grab a table. Would recommend for a pregame or a cute drink spot with a little boujieness. I heard it gets lit on weekend nights as well

The Boil

Attentive service, smaller than I thought it would be, but the food was great and would def be back! 

Kuxe

Went here for dinner with a friend and it was so tasty!! We had the margs, I also did a modelo and we had two shots of tequila and they were all bomb! 

But the food, huntyyyy so good! We had the following:  

-Tostada Ceviche (so tasty and fresh)
- Machete chicharrones (haven't had something that good and filling in a min!)
- Frijoles and Mexican Rice (good and nice portions)
- The Birria and the fish taco (were both so good) 

All in all def go check it out and it wasn't too packed!!

Boqueria

Went here for brunch one day and loved it!! 

Vestry

I went to Vestry during restaurant week as my friend and I wanted to try a Michelin restaurant for the low. I will be honest it wasn't cheap even with the discount but the food was absolutely worth it! I fell in love with the Sushi Rice and the tasty Tapioca with fresh berries. We also got the Wagyu beef which was a little pricy but totally worth it!! I highly suggest to go, the vibe is mood lighting super modern, minimalistic cute! Also trader joes is across the street #doublewin!!

Bar Tulix

New restaurant and I do recommend and I will give you all the deets because I surely ran up a check in this spot! So I went with one of my friends and we started off with cocktails and lowkey did 3 rounds of cocktails lol and were lit af by the end of the night, so cocktails are a def approved here and they were cute, Yes and Yas!

For the food we tried to order the whole dang menu lol we got the citrus salad (Approved) the pastor chicken (it was good/cool) the side of potatoes (YUM) the asparagus (it was coo), the octopus (tasty). Also very cute vibes and gets packed fast so def recommend for a reservation. Would definitely recommend and will be back again! Oh and the short rib was my fave thing on the menu! 

Also the music was a VIBE! R&B like Jazmine Sullivan you know I was vibing!


Claw Daddy's

One of my all-time favorite spots, their happy hour was always bomb (not sure if they have it anymore) but they always have deals so check them out. The seafood quality is great just be wise with the sauces you choose. I recommend the lemon pepper. And the adult capri suns yum!

Beauty & Essex

 Went here for my bday years ago, food was overpriced but it was a cute vibe 

Fish Cheeks

Absolutely love this place, the food is a culinary journey and the drinks are pretty strong. 

Jajaja Plantas Mexicana

OMG This place is absolutely amazing!! My friend who is a vegetarian recommended it and I had no clue it was a vegetarian place so I went into the menu blinded and tried the nachos and you could not tell me it wasn't meat! They were so good!

We also went during happy hour and had the the cosmos and they delicious and were boozy AND ONLY $10! Yas and Yas! We also had the street tacos (Mushroom and a veggie fis) and they were so tasty! Also super LGBTQ+ friendly I highly recommend!

Spicy Moon

I have actually been here twice and the food has been amazing both times!! Super cute vibes, drinks are bomb for mocktail or cocktail! I highly suggest a reservation and to try the vegetable dumplings you will thank me later! Highly recommend! Vegetarian or not this is a spot you have to try!
